  1. There is another option to backup data to cloud storage powered by Amazon S3. Check out CloudBerry Backup http://backup.cloudberrylab.com/ . It is onetime fee and the rest what you pay for Amazon S3. Besides, there is no proprietary data format and you can access your data using other Amazon s3 tools. Supports all Amazon S3 regions and Reduced Redundancy Storage.

  2. Okay. Now I am confused and I have no idea "what I need!" Originally I thought I needed something like Mozy, but they specifically say on their website that they do not save files from your hard drive or external hard drive forever. Then, I thought I needed something Cloud based, but this doesn't seem to be what I need either. So I ask you, what should I be using as a web based option to take all my important files from my hard drive and my external hard drive and store them… FOREVER. Or at least until I close my account.

  3. I am surprised that Sugarsync didn’t make it into this article. I personally have been using them for a long time now and am more than happy. Not only are they cheaper than most of its competitors, they also offer by far the best product in the market today. I did try out most cloud storage providers in the past and after experimenting for quite some time I decided to stay with Sugarsync.

Also, if you use the following link to sign up for Sugarsync, you now get 5.5 GB of free online storage forever:
