By adding redundant, 10G transit circuits to its Kansas City data center, which is designed to meet the highest security standards and support compliant hosting, Layered Tech is further strengthening the top-flight facility to stay ahead of growing customer demands by expanding its enterprise-class capabilities. Level 3 Communications, a leading international provider of fiber-based communications services, is delivering the Internet and transport connectivity to the Kansas City data center.

Layered Tech is adding redundant, 10G circuits between its Dallas, Chicago and Kansas City data centers. The additional bandwidth supports customers’ increased need to securely share data between each location and broadens their options for disaster recovery and business continuity services.

The Kansas City data center supports the operational protocols necessary to meet the toughest industry standards, including PCI DSS, HIPAA and SAS 70. Designed to keep mission-critical applications up and running, the state-of-the-art facility features world-class power management, precision HVAC, fire suppression and physical security capabilities.
