HP Accelerates Data Analytics with New Financing Offer

HP systems certified to run SAP In-Memory Appliance (SAP HANA)

ORLANDO, Fla., May 16, 2011 – HP today announced a new financing offer(1) to help organizations accelerate decision making with SAP® In-Memory Appliance software (SAP HANA™) running on HP Converged Infrastructure.

In addition, HP ProLiant DL980 G7 and HP ProLiant DL580 G7 systems are among the first HP platforms certified by SAP for running SAP HANA, giving assurance to organizations that they can achieve increased flexibility, rapid provisioning and a highly reliable architecture with their HP and SAP solution.

With SAP HANA on HP Converged Infrastructure, organizations can quickly spot new trends and revenue opportunities. The financing program from HP includes HP infrastructure and services as well as SAP HANA software licenses.

HP Financial Services helps customers change the economics of IT by delivering a full range of flexible financing solutions and life cycle asset management services.

HP ProLiant DL980 and HP ProLiant DL580 certified to run SAP HANA

The HP ProLiant DL980 G7 configuration system is certified for databases between 2.5 terabytes (TB) and 5 TB. The HP ProLiant DL580 G7 configuration system is for databases up to 2.5 TB. HP and SAP also are cooperating on the development of a solution for databases larger than 5 TB.

HP solutions for use with SAP HANA will help businesses and governments in their pursuit of an Instant-On Enterprise. HP will showcase its close collaboration with SAP at the SAPPHIRE® NOW customer conference, being held May 15 – 18 in Orlando, Fla.  HP is one of SAP’s featured technology partners at the In-Memory Computing Test Drive Area at SAPPHIRE NOW, hosting a strategic workforce planning demo scenario on an HP ProLiant DL580 G7 server.
