Metanga Enhances Microsoft Cloud Adoption

MetraTech, a provider of agreements-based billing and compensation solutions, has launched its multi-tenant software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based billing solution, on Microsoft Windows Azure.
Known as Metanga, this solution will help Microsoft’s customers to monetize their Windows Azure offerings. It facilitates the adoption of Windows Azure to new audiences and also make Microsoft’s cloud platform more relevant.

According to MetraTech, this announcement highlights its relationship with Windows Azure and continues its business relation with Microsoft.

Metanga is a native Windows Azure building block solution, which provides Microsoft’s  independent software vendor (ISV) customers with the shortest path to cloud-based enrollment, billing and customer care.

The Windows Azure platform offers significant opportunities for ISVs to gain first-mover advantage in new markets,” said Prashant Ketkar, director, product marketing for Windows Azure. “ Microsoft is working closely with technology partners — such as Metanga in the area of billing — to ensure that our ISV customers can effectively monetize their Windows Azure offerings.”

MetraTech claims its newly released Metanga service can perform a range of functions including guiding users by interactively leading customers through best practices and billing processes.

This service also offer scale by supporting additional requirements as ISVs change business models and diversify.

The solution can also define usability by an inductive vs. deductive user experience, deliver support via integrated video and text based contextual help, and provide security & compliance using PCI Level I compliance and SAS 70 Type II certification.
