IT Training – Key To The Present And Future Success

Cloud computing, big data, enterprise technologies and other cross-dimensional technologies are the hottest portfolios in the IT industry, where many organizations are investing heavily across the globe. This heavy investment is producing a sustainable growth of jobs in the area of information technologies.

A study conducted by CompTIA under the caption of IT industry outlook 2013 suggests that demand of cross-dimensional and cloud-savvy professionals will keep growing at more than 22% in the next seven years till 2020.

In such a growing market of technology professionals, the training would play a much bigger role than ever before – there is a couple of solid reasons for the same. The rapid/regular demand and fast-changing face of technology are two fundamental reasons to justify it.

A survey research regarding the trends both in IT training and IT career was conducted by the TrainSignal an online training company – this study discovers some very significant facts about the trends, importance, and success stories of the IT professionals in the domain of information technology. The survey was carried out with the help of 2,375 participants across the globe; these participants were related to the field of IT, and the survey was completed in the month of January, 2013.

As per the results of the survey more than 94.7% of the professionals think that continuous IT training is a fundamental component for career advancement while more than 67% professional revealed that they received a pay-raise or promotions by getting IT training. A huge ratio of more than 79.7% of the professional feel confident about the job opportunities in the year 2013 – a huge number, 43.5% of professionals switched their career from other fields and more 55.1% of professionals who started their career in IT during the last two years have changed their profession from other fields and switched to information technology by taking training courses and diploma degrees. Among these professional people, more than 77.2% are highly confident about their career growth in this field. More than 56.9% of professionals who switched to an IT career during last two years, received a salary increase; while 40.7% people who adopted an IT career during the last six years got a salary raise of more than 25%.

As far as the type of training and passion about the information technology is concerned, this survey conducted by TrainSignal reveals some of the most encouraging findings. As per the results of the survey, more than 47.7% of the people love and have a passion for technology – Meanwhile, a huge ratio of more than 73.7% of the professionals enjoy solving the most complex problems and issues related to information technology, which is one of the most encouraging signs for the industry.

In response to the reference of the training material, a big ratio, 69.1% of professionals suggest that they refer to training material at least once a month and 57.2% of professionals who joined IT field two years back refer training material on a weekly basis.

The professionals who participated in this survey responded to one question about the type of training they like – 67.9% of professionals like to have online or DVD based video training. The ratio of professionals who liked the training based on the book was about 3% while the ratio of professionals who like to have training in regular classes stood at 29.1%.

This study by TrainSignal institute clearly suggests that online training and is very crucial for advancing and obtaining the better career opportunities in the field of cloud computing information technology.
